"The Book That Changes Your Life Is the One You Write." That is our motto. No one has proven this more than the leaders who put aside their boardroom suits, their corporate personas and chose to be more.
This month, we will celebrate authors who are the living proof of our motto.
In the order that they started the publishing journey with us:
We have Gugu Sidaki, who continues to break the limits in writing financial wisdom books for children and families.
We have Vuledzani Dangale, who put aside her authority and power in the boardrooms and opened up about raising a child with mental health issues. Her journey not only got people talking, it inspired everyone to look inside and question if they are doing enough to support mental health individuals in our homes or daily lives — in a world constantly demanding us to smile and sing the overly rehearsed “I am ok.”
Our year got better and better when Nonhlanhla Nxele bravely took vulnerability and turned it into strength and legacy — when she stopped dressing the pain of losing a loved one. From her daily demands as a business owner, she just could not sit by and watch grief consume her. She sat down and said: I need help, and I am going to help myself by healing others. She courageously wrote a beautiful memoir, speaking to the hearts of all who have lost their loved ones.
These are women who showed us that it is possible. It’s possible for us to build legacies and wealth with the very scars and challenges we face. To build from our passion, knowledge and brilliant years of experience to change lives — as Gugu Sidaki has consistently set the bar by writing new children’s books with the wisdom and knowledge she has gained through her career in finance.
The books that they wrote changed their lives, setting them on a path of building legacies — building wealth that is more than money. Wealth that builds future leaders and communities.
This is what we celebrate. This is what we publish.
